Tradition meets innovation
ALLIGATOR Ventilgruppe with a new trade fair motto at Autopromotec in Bologna
Giengen/Bologna, May 2017 - In addition to its sens.it TPMS, valve and sensor specialist ALLIGATOR is emphasising its core expertise at this year’s Autopromotec in Bologna – the development and distribution of mechanical valve solutions for tyres. The broadly diversified product assortment can be seen in Hall 19, Stand B 40.
Check and adjust air pressure without unscrewing the valve cap
The company will demonstrate select products on a modern passenger vehicle. This includes the DS-P valve cap, which does not have to be unscrewed to check and adjust air pressure. Trade fair visitors can see the advantages of increased safety, time savings and reduced costs for themselves. Unlike the V2B check valve cap for commercial vehicles, which is made of metal and thus exclusively suited for valves made of the same material, the DS-P is made of plastic. Based on its light weight, it is outstandingly well-suited for metal, rubber and aluminium valves of passenger vehicles, transporters, commercial vehicles and motorcycles.
For auto enthusiasts: Add a special accent with log valve caps
High-quality valve caps with the ALLIGATOR customer emblem or logo can be found in the tuning shops of many premium automobile manufacturers. A special production process enables affordable production, even in small batches, to suit the wishes of vehicle tuners, wheel manufacturers or large commercial enterprises. This is a rare opportunity to combine quality, safety and an outstanding appearance in tyre valves.
All-metal valves in popular colours
ALLIGATOR offers the appropriate tyre valves in matching colours for modern, high-quality rims in popular colours, such as anthracite, chrome or a colour finish. Of course, these design-oriented valves also meet all original equipment manufacturer standards and safety requirements.
The patented CVVEasy tyre valve can be mounted without tools
As usual, visitors will also be able to inspect the various versions of the CVVEasy tyre valve. It combines the high durability of a metal valve with the secure seal and simple installation of a rubber valve. The CVVEasy is manufactured with a special elastomer that can even withstand brake heat arising during long trips with a fully loaded vehicle. A precisely designed seal contour and highly flexible sealing lip assure the best possible tightness in the rim. A patented pressure disc always keeps the valve securely in the wheel - even with high operating pressures. For removal of the CVV valve, this pressure disc can be easily disconnected at the predetermined breaking point using pliers or a screwdriver. Therefore, the valve can be pulled through the valve hole without any special tools and the rim is not damaged in the process. The CVVEasy is available for passenger vehicles, transporters, caravans and trailers.
Retrofittable TPMS with advanced functions
Trade fair visitors can also test the function of the sens.it RetroFIT kits on a passenger vehicle model at the trade fair stand. The retrofittable TPMS can now withstand to a pressure range of up to eight bar, which makes it suitable for installation in wheels on cars, SUVs, transporters and caravans. The system is pre-configured so that it is ready for operation after installation. An elaborate set-up of the receiver, which is necessary with many other systems, has been eliminated. An additional new feature is the simplified and customer-friendly learning process for wheel or sensor replacement. In addition to the advanced functions, the unique replacement system has been retained. This enables the programming of additional RetroFIT kit sensors with the sens.it programming device for the exchange and replacement of sensors or for the programming of an additional set of seasonal wheels. The complete TPMS retrofit kit comprises four sens.it sensors, tyre valves, and a display with button cell batteries. The display, which shows both tyre pressure and temperature, is mounted in the vehicle cockpit with a magnet.
ALLIGATOR is showing visitors the simplicity of sens.it sensor programming at familiar programming stations. The company will continue to place great value on free customer service for the sens.it TPMS under the ‘one for all’ premise.
The use of TPMS service kits is mandatory
Parts must be replaced with each tyre change, particularly those that are subject to influences of ageing and corrosion. If a sensor-based tyre pressure monitoring system is installed in a wheel, replacement of the relevant parts is a mandatory requirement of the manufacturer and is not optional. The reason for this is the weight of the TPM sensor, which applies pressure on the rubber seal of the valve and causes premature wear. Tyre dealers who fail to replace the rubber seals, union nuts, valve inserts, and sealing caps can be held liable for material defects. With the snap-in variant, the entire rubber valve must be replaced.
ALLIGATOR offers the multitude of available service kits in a service kit case. It includes all components required for correct and thorough service of tyres and rims with TPMS. The tyre installation technician can use the appropriate kits based on vehicle make, model, and year.
ALLIGATOR service kits are suitable for all OE sensors of all manufacturers and are available in proven ALLIGATOR original equipment quality. The case includes five service kits for each type, a total of 100 valve inserts and valve caps. An application list with manufacturer-specific information is included.
Tyre management for commercial vehicles
Trade fair visitors looking for a tyre management system with automatic tyre pressure and temperature monitoring for commercial vehicles will find what they are looking for at the valve and sensor specialist’s stand. Sens.it HD is designed especially for fleet management. It displays all measurements and information relating to tyre pressure and temperature in a platform that can be viewed worldwide by fleet managers and workshops. The temperature-compensated pressure monitoring, temperature monitoring, tool-less fastening of the sensor with a strap, recording of historical values and the option of transmitting the measured data to both the driver and the workshop manager make the tyre management system unique and set it apart from simple tyre pressure management systems for commercial vehicles.
